About Roger D Hale

Roger D Hale Triple Hearts Ranch -

Rogers private gallery is called Triple Hearts Ranch. Triple Hearts Ranch was named and is dedicated to his two beloved daughter's Tiffani (who signed her name with three hearts) and Angela (who left behind five wonderful children Hope, Jacob, James, Zachariah, and Matthew). Tiffani who passed away in an tragic auto accident and Angela who fought bravely but finally succumbed to cancer. Roger dedicates all of his artwork to his two beautiful daughters and his late father George. 'Treasure each other in the recognition that we do not know how long we shall have each other'.

Roger is a second generation full time artist. He inherited his talent and desire for the arts from his father George Hale, a well known custom knife maker in Oklahoma. Most knife collectors in the southern part of the United States and some in Europe are familiar with the unique knives, tomahawks, & Native American style artifacts created by George and Roger. Art and crafts were a way of life in the Hale household, so it was natural for Roger to continue the tradition. The Hale family have produced works in taxidermy, gun smithing, wood carving, custom knife and tomahawk construction, oil, acrylic, & watercolor paintings and have made many Native American style artifacts. The early Hale family left Tennesee in the late 1800s and came to Oklahoma via the same route taken by the Cherokee Indians 50 years earlier. George was born in the Creek Nation of Oklahoma, but never had a CDIB card, so we cannot legally call our work Native American made.

Rogers art career began as a wood carver and a silver smith. After his service in the U.S. Army he began to build knives, tomahawks, and Native American type artifacts in the traditional Hale style. When he was middle age he began to paint and do more elaborate wood carvings. Some of my wood carvings were inspired by the talented artists of the Pacific Northwest. Please notice that all of the male subjects in Rogers digital paintings were posed by Roger himself. He has constructed all of the props and clothing himself. Most of the original photographs were taken by Rogers talented wife Teri.

'The images created by my hands are echoes of the dream voice within me, they are powerful by virtue of the forces they represent and by what materials and means they came into being. I put a bit of myself into every piece, my view of the cosmos into a bow, my fingerprint upon a painting'. George taught me what is was to be an artist, Tiffani taught me what it was to be a unselfish human being, Angela showed me what it was to be a nurturing mother and to be brave in the face of adversity.

We miss Tiffani, Angela and George every day. Thank you for visiting my website. Sincerely Roger and Teri
